The Committee for Preferred Housing Complexes (Havatmal) decided to approve a plan for urban renewal in the Shaarim neighborhood in the heart of the old part of Rehovot. These plans will change the nature of the construction in the complex, and will allow the establishment of intensive and mixed-use construction around the axes A transportation system with many passengers, as well as a metro line that is expected to pass through Herzl Street. As part of the plan, the streets surrounding the complex will be widened for the benefit of pedestrians: Saadia Gaon, Mogzah and Zaks.
